| Vet Medicines Direct is a subsidiary
of Fivemiletown Pharmacy, which is a specialised
veterinary pharmacy which employs a full time registered pharmacist,
based in Northern Ireland, specialising in the sale of small and
large animal medicines to the farming community. Vet Medicines
Direct offers a highly competitive alternative to the traditional
supply route, via the farmer’s veterinary surgeon.
Vet Medicines Direct can supply all animal medicines
authorised in the U.K. These include POM-V (previously POM) and
POM-VPS (previously PML). POM-V products require a prescription
from your vet, but POM-VPS products can be purchased from our Pharmacy
or on this site, easily, without a written prescription. We may
want to talk to you about any purchases, but this is just a formality
and will not slow up the process. We can also supply NFA-VPS and
AVM-GSL products. For an explanation of these categories, please
see the Help page.
For POM-V products, we provide you with a printed prescription
containing all the details we require to allow us to legally provide
the products to you. However, you do not have to use our prescription,
as most vet practices have their own  prescription,
which can be used.
